Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge of cloud solutions included but limited to AWS, OpenStack and Microsoft Azure products. Demonstrated experience using tools like OpenStack, Eucalyptus, OpenShift, and Kubernetes.
• Provide Tier I/II support. Follow established guidelines for delivery of cloud based resources.
• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of customer resources.
• Provide assistance to users in accessing and utilizing cloud based compute resources.
• Serve as the technical point of contact between the customer and the Architecture and Capacity Engineering teams.
• Maintain currency of relevant documents and update the Wiki and SharePoint knowledge bases.
• Monitor and respond to chat rooms.
• Should be able to develop with a DevOps approach for both Linux and Windows workloads using proven, cutting-edge cloud technologies including automation with Amazon Cloudformation, OpsWorks, Ansible, Chef, and Docker.
• Must be able to deploy new cloud production, staging, and test environments.
• Responsible for all aspects of integration and deployment including infrastructure and application deployment, load testing, and disaster recovery.
• Plan for seamless transitions with little to no downtime and identify agile, scalable infrastructure; select the best cloud services and technologies for customer projects and plan all implementation procedures.
• Automate and deploy cloud infrastructures and maintain full documentation of the cloud infrastructure to enable a smooth handoff to the application team.
• Demonstrated experience planning and implementing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) using tools like OpenStack, Eucalyptus, OpenShift, and Kubernetes.
• The architect will be responsible for deployment of new solutions into existing cloud resources or off-premise infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Must possess one active mid-level or advanced cloud certification (e.g., AWS, Azure, OpenStack).
• Must have 9 years of related work experience and a bachelor's degree in a related technical field. An additional four (4) years of relevant experience can be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
• Must work with little to no prescriptive guidance.
• Development experience with both Linux and Windows workloads using cloud technologies with automation, including Amazon CloudFormation, OpsWorks, Ansible, Chef, and Docker. Demonstrated experience writing software scripts using Perl, Python, or Ruby.
• Strong knowledge of a wide range of cloud services and solutions, including AWS, OpenStack, and Microsoft Azure.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation Spotlight: For this role, our typical salary range starts at $200,000 and stretches up to $230,000. We seek top talent and are prepared to offer above-market compensation for exceptional candidates.

Compensation: We offer highly competitive compensation that is consistently recognized by our employees as being generous!

Health & Retirement: We offer group healthcare plans. SoftTech Solutions pays 100% of the monthly premiums up to $2,000/month. Employee coverage begins on the start date of employment. If the monthly premium is less than $1,000/month, the difference may be paid as a quarterly bonus. Employees who elect not to use our healthcare plans receive a $3,000 quarterly bonus ($12,000 annually).

SoftTech Solutions, Inc. wants its employees to live comfortably in their retirement. The company contributes up to 10% of an employee's earnings into their 401(k) plan, with the first 4% matched dollar-for-dollar and an additional 6% contributed by the company. All contributions are immediately vested.

Education: Professional Development funds of $5,250 for approved tuition, educational expenses and business equipment. Unused balances are paid to the employee as a bonus at the start of the following year.

Work/Life Balance: Three compensation packages offering 25, 35 or 45 days of paid time off annually, with carryover up to 15 days. Leave without pay is available for unworked days.

Additional Paid Time Off: Jury Duty (16 hours), Maternity/Paternity Leave (16 hours), Bereavement (24 hours).

Employee Appreciation Days: Two days of paid Employee Appreciation time off annually, redeemable as needed. Unused time paid out at year end.
